Spokesman of IRI Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday that probable agenda of prospective talks between Iran and the group 1+5 has yet to be set.

Speaking in his weekly media conference, Mehmanparast added however that the talks would address fuel exchange offers for Tehran’s medical research reactor and the basis of the talk would be Tehran Declaration.

Mehmanparast noted that several details of talks should be set, namely time and place of talks as well agenda of talks, with agenda of talks the most important details to be set.

Iran, Saudi officials discuss ties

-- Saudi Foreign Minister Saud al-Faisal says interaction between Tehran and Riyadh is vital in the face of developments in the region and the Muslim world.

The remarks were made during a meeting with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Middle East affairs Mohammad Reza Sheibani in the Saudi capital of Riyadh on Monday, IRNA reported.

Al-Faisal stressed that “the current situation in the Muslim world” demanded closer ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia, since both nations shared “similar religious and historical backgrounds.”

The Iranian deputy foreign minister, for his part, said Tehran would welcome expansion of bilateral ties between the two Muslim nations.

According to Sheibani, regular meetings between Iranian and Saudi officials could help both nations deal with regional and Muslim world developments.

During the meeting, Sheibani submitted a written message from Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki to the Saudi foreign minister.

The Iranian foreign ministry official, who is heading a political delegation, arrived in Riyadh on Monday.

Earlier on Monday, Sheibani met with Saudi Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Jandan in Riyadh. The two officials discussed ways to improve Tehran-Riyadh ties.

In a telephone conversation in late October, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.

Iran says to have talks about fuel swap based on Tehran Declaration: spokesman

-- Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said Tuesday that the upcoming talks between Iran and the world powers will be about fuel swap and based on Tehran Declaration.

The nuclear talks will be about the fuel swap for the Tehran research reactor and its framework is clear, Mehmanparast made the remarks in his weekly press briefing.

The framework of the talks is Tehran Declaration, he added.

In a tripartite meeting in Tehran on May 17, Iran signed an agreement with Turkey and Brazil, dubbed Tehran Declaration, to endorse a fuel swap deal, in which Iran agreed to ship most of its low enriched uranium to Turkey in exchange for the 20 percent uranium fuel needed for its Tehran research reactor.

On Friday, Iran’ s chief nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili said in a letter to Ashton that Iran welcomes "the willingness of the G5+1 to return to the talks with Iran."

 Speaking in his weekly press conference Ramin Mehmanparast cautioned Iranian citizen to prevent traveling to France due to recent Al Qaeda threats.
Referring to economical crisis in western countries and recent crisis in France Mehmanparast told reporters ‘’we advise our citizens not to travel to France and if they do ,they should apply the precautions.’’
He added ‘’ obviously the unstable situation in that country has reached a level that our citizen should be careful in this area.’’

Iran gas condensate exports hit USD 3 billion

Iran Daily reported that Iran exported USD 3 billion worth of gas condensates from the country’s South Pars gas field in the southern city of Assalouyeh in the H1 of the current Iranian year.

Mr Mousa Souri MD of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone said that in the first 6 months of the year some 5.319 million tonnes of different gas condensates worth USD 3 billion were exported from Pars Port Complex. The figures indicate 50% and 74% growth in volume and value respectively in comparison with the same period last year.

The official noted that light and heavy polyethylene, gas condensates, propane, butane and benzene were the main products exported to different European and Asian countries. However, more than 230,000 tonnes of goods including necessary equipments valued at USD 783 million have been imported to PSEEZ during the mentioned period.

According to BP, Iran’s proved oil and gas reserves are 137.6 billion barrel and 29.61 trillion cubic meters. Iran ranks third in the world for oil reserves and second for gas reserves.

Mr Ali Vakili MD of Pars Oil and Gas Company said that Iran will offer some IRR 23,000 trillion worth of bonds to the public on November to finance the second development phase of its South Pars gas field. The bonds will be sold through Bank Saderat of Iran and Bank Melli Iran.

Mr Vakili previously had said that investment in Iran’s South Pars gas field has hiked by 120% in the current Iranian year. According to the official the boom was the result of the issuance of EUR 3 billion in foreign currency bonds and USD 3.014 billion in national participation bonds.

He said that investment in South Pars had surpassed USD 11 billion. Thanks to the careful planning this year there will be no problems in regard to funding the South Pars project.

Iran says it postpones trial of US nationals

--Iranian Judiciary Spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said tribunal of the three US nationals would be heard at a later time.

Iran has already declared that it would prosecute the three Americans on November 6.

"Sarah Shourd (one of the Americans) has not been summoned so far to appear in the court, she should be summoned and the three US nationals should stand trial," Ejei told reporters on Monday.

Iran has already said that it would seize $500,000 bail set by Shroud if she refuses to stand trial.

Shroud was temporarily released in September by Iran’s Revolutionary court due to her health conditions and she immediately flew out of Iran.

Shroud along with Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer was detained on July 31, 2009 following an illegal entry into Iranian territory.

Also regarding the two Germans who were arrested following an interview with son of an Iranian woman, Judiciary Spokesman said, "they are still in custody."

The German nationals were arrested following an interview with son of Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani who was accused of having adultery and killing her husband.

The Germans who entered into Iran with tourist visa claimed that they were reporters.

"They are still in custody and their cases have not been sent to the court yet," he said adding, "They had a meeting with secretary of German embassy where they received money."

He continued that the two European individuals acknowledged that they were not reporters and asked for pardon.

"A lawyer who was their mediator is in prison and his crimes including abuse of documents are confirmed."
