FM’s visit to Russia, Azerbaijan postponed: Foreign Ministry
Iran’s Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif’s imminent visit to Russia and Azerbaijan has been postponed.
The Foreign Ministry official website quoted Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh as saying that the FM’s visit was delayed due to the extraordinary programs of the cabinet ministers to discuss the next year’s budget bill and the importance of all ministers’ presence in those meetings.
Earlier, Khatibzadeh had announced in a tweet that the Iranian foreign minister is scheduled to visit Russia and Azerbaijan on November 23 and 24 to discuss major regional developments including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and bilateral issues with the senior officials of Russia and Azerbaijan.
