Tehran’s Daily Newspapers’ Review
Yesterday was a good day indeed for the Tehran Municipality. The underground rail system (Metro) that allegedly suffers from the government’s parsimony, may find some breathing space—a chance for sustained construction of new routes and the purchase of new wagons—after Majles (the Iranian Parliament) approved a bill which authorizes the allocation of 2 billion dollars for public transportation improvement in Tehran and other major cities (more news here). Mottaki’s remarks at the Kabul International Conference also attracted the attention of Tehran newspapers.
