Iran’s Rafsanjani Underlines National Talks as Only Way Out of Mideast Crises
(FNA)- Chairman of Iran's Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani voiced concern over the ongoing security crises in the Middle East, and called on the region's crisis-hit nations to put aside differences if they really want to witness sustainable peace and progress.
Hashemi Rafsanjani called on all involved parties in the crisis-hit Yemen, Syria, Iraq, and other regional countries to end fighting as the first step and later join an all-inclusive national dialogue to find peaceful and political solution to their difference.
In April, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian stressed that the best and the only way out of security crises in the regional countries, including Syria, Yemen and Iraq is persuading all involved parties to participate in an all-inclusive national dialogue.
He said that Tehran's general policy on such countries as Syria, Iraq and Yemen is preservation of their territorial integrity, and restoration of peace and stability through diplomatic ways and national dialogue.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran believes that successful implementation of democracy in the crisis-hit countries of the region is the best way to ensure sustainable peace and stability," added Amir Abdollahian.
Iranian officials, on many occasions, have stressed that fueling sectarian disputes in the Muslim countries will only serve the interests of hegemonic powers and the Zionist regime of Israel, thereupon, Tehran has done its best to pave the ground for peaceful settlement of disputes in the Middle-Eastern states, specially in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.
