Another Saudi Fighter Jet Shot down in Yemen
(FNA)- Yemeni air defense forces shot down another Saudi fighter jet in the Northwestern province of Sa'ada, a military source said.
A top Yemeni military source, requesting anonymity, said that the Yemeni troops managed to bring down the Saudi warplane late on Sunday while it was bombing Kataf district in Sa'ada.
Also early on Sunday, a Saudi F-16 jet was shot down by Yemeni forces in the district of Bani Harith, Northern Sana'a, while it was pounding residential areas as well an air base in Dailami.
Back in March, Yemen's air defense system also hit a Saudi warplane in Hoor region in Ma'areb province in Northeastern part of Sana'a.
Saudi Arabia has been bombing Yemen in the last 61 days to bring its ally, fugitive president Mansour Hadi, back to power.
The airstrikes have killed, at least, 3,897 Yemenis, according to FNA's independent tally.
According to a recent report by Freedom House Foundation, most of the victims of the deadly Al Saud campaign are civilians, including a large number of women and children.
Thousands of residential buildings have been destroyed, and hundreds of civil and public facilities were reduced to rubble as a result of the bombardments by Saudi warplanes on the Yemeni cities and towns, the group said.
