Iranian Parliament Speaker Sees Syria’s Security Conditions Satisfactory
(FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani voiced satisfaction in the security conditions in Syria, specially after the recent victories of the Arab country's army and security forces.
"The security conditions of Syria are better now," Larijani said upon his arrival at Tehran Mehrabad International Airport Friday night.
He noted that positive and promising steps have been taken in Syria after the recent victories of the Syrian army and security forces.
Larijani pointed to the political conditions of Iraq, and said, "There is a good political tranquility prevalent in Iraq."
He noted that the Iraqi government has paid sufficient attention to restricting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) Takfiri terrorists.
Larijani started his tri-nation tour of Syria, Lebanon and Iraq on Sunday.
On Wednesday, Larijani reiterated that the Zionist regime and the terrorist groups are the two sides of the same coin and fighting against them is a necessity.
Elaborating on the cause for Iran’s current contributions to Lebanon, Syria and Iraq, he said that such assistance is in campaign against terrorism.
“That is because terrorism and Zionism are the two blades of the same pair of scissors which has aimed at the interests of the Islamic Ummah (nation),” Larijani said in a meeting with Iraqi Foreign Minister Ebrahim al-Jafari.
In relevant remarks on Monday, Larijani cautioned the regional resistance groups and countries to see the Israeli regime and the terrorist groups as a single enemy, stressing that they were the two sides of the same coin.
"All resistance lovers in the region should think of two issues, first fighting the Zionists, and second fighting the terrorist streams as they are the two sides of the same coin," Larijani said in a meeting with his Lebanese counterpart Nabih Berri in Beirut.
He also underlined the necessity of political solutions to the regional crises, including Syria, and said, "This is an issue that we have stated since the very first day of events in Syria, but many countries didn’t accept it and created this situation."
Larijani warned that when the terrorist streams were created, they couldn’t be annihilated easily.
