Iran-US nuclear talks to continue this afternoon
IRNA - The second round of nuclear talks between Iran and the United States will continue in Geneva this afternoon.
Morning session of second round of talks between Iran and the US wrapped up hours ago and the two sides decided to continue negotiations on afternoon.
The first round of talks between Tehran and Washington was chaired by Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and US Under- Secretary of State William Burns are leading the negotiating teams of the two countries.
On Monday, Araqchi underlined that his negotiations with Burns and Under-Secretary of States in charge of sanctions Wendy Sherman which lasted for five hours were held in a constructive atmosphere.
IRNA learned that EU Deputy Foreign Policy Chief Helga Schmidt was also present in the negotiations.
Araqchi noted that the talks merely focused on nuclear issues.
He said that Iran and France are holding bilateral talks in Geneva on Wednesday.
