Azerbaijan’s President Arrives in Iran
(FNA)- Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Tehran this morning to confer with senior Iranian officials on the latest developments in the region and discuss expansion of Tehran-Baku all-out ties.
Upon his arrival, Aliyev was welcomed by Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi.
The visit is taking place at the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani.
President Aliyev will be officially welcomed by his Iranian counterpart in Saadabad Historical Complex later today.
The two leaders are also expected to sign several agreements on Tehran-Baku trade and economic cooperation.
Iran has recently enhanced efforts to boost political, economic and cultural ties and cooperation with the regional and neighboring countries, specially the Central Asian states.
