Iran, Belarus Vow to Broaden All-Out Cooperation
(FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makey stressed the need for the promotion of Tehran-Minsk relations in various political, economic, cultural, and scientific sectors.
Speaking at a meeting in Tehran on Monday, Larijani said Iranian and Belarusian leaders are determined to expand their ties.
He underlined the current excellent ties with Belarus on political, economic, industrial fields as well as the parliamentary cooperation.
The top Iranian parliamentarian said that industrialists of Iran and Belarus are required to get acquainted with capacities of the either side to develop cooperation.
He underlined implementation of the contracts already reached between Iran and Belarus and full commissioning of the projects.
Makey said, for his part, that the Islamic Republic of Iran is an important and influential country in the region and Belarus shares common views on global issues with Iran on existence of multi-polar world.
“Such common views have made the regular and constant consultations between the senior officials of the two countries an imperative.”
Tehran and Minsk have in recent months increased efforts to start a jump in mutual cooperation.
Iran and Belarus have recently widened their areas of economic cooperation. The two countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on road transportation cooperation in March 2012.
The two countries also announced in March 2012 that they plan to establish a join trading company to help expand their bilateral ties and exchanges.
