Iranian Deputy FM Preparing for Regional Tour

(FNA)- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said he will start a bi-nation tour of the regional nations on Sunday which will take him to Oman and Qatar.

In his trip, the Iranian official is slated to confer on the latest international and regional developments and expansion of ties with senior Omani and Qatari officials, the Iranian students news agency reported.   

During the trip, we will discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments," Amir Abdollahian said.

Abdollahian further noted that he plans to visit the UAE in mid-March to explore new ways for the further expansion of bilateral ties as well as issues of the Middle-East.

Iranian officials have repeatedly underlined that they attach great importance to the consolidation of Tehran's relations with the Middle-East countries in order to protect and promote peace and security in the region.
