Mass Grave Found West of Syria’s Aleppo

(FNA)- Residents of Qabtan al-Jabal area, 16 km West of Aleppo city, found a mass grave following the withdrawal of the fighters of the Al-Qaeda affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Among the bodies found, three decapitated bodies belonged to two men and one woman from the Kurdish area of Jenderis in Efrin, who were kidnapped nearly four months ago by members of the ISIL and no news was heard about them ever since, ARA News reported.

The Assayish forces, security wing of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), in the Kurdish-populated city of Efrin reported that a number of Kurdish civilians were kidnapped by the ISIL and that their destiny is still unknown.

The incident coincided clashes between rebels of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the Al-Qaeda-linked ISIL fighters in the suburb of Aleppo and several locations in Raqqa province, North Syria.
