Zarif, Ashton start 7th meeting

Visiting Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton met on Saturday for the 7th time in the past four days since the start of Iran-5+1 talks on Tehranˈs peaceful nuclear program.
The meeting is being held while Ms. Ashton has reportedly held bilateral talks with US Secretary of State John Kerry who arrived in this Swiss city to join the Group 5+1 nuclear talks with Iran.

In addition to Kerry, foreign ministers of Russia, France, Germany and Britain have also arrived in Geneva to join the talks.

Chinese foreign minister is to arrive later on Saturday.

According to an un-named source here, Zarif and Ashton ended their talks last night while some issues were still remained unresolved.

The source hoped that the two sides would reach an agreement on Saturday.

A western diplomat told IRNA on Friday that Iran’s right for enrichment has been recognized by the other side but talks are still underway on Iran’s Arak heavy water reactor.
