Iran focuses on banking, oil embargoes during talks: official
IRNA – A member of Iran’s nuclear negotiating team said that Iran declared during the negotiations with 5+1 Group that banking and oil sanctions should be taken into consideration in the first stage.
Talking to reporters on Iran’s proposal, Majid Takht-Ravanchi added that a text has been prepared to be discussed during the talks with European Union Policy Chief Catherine Ashton, but its details are better to be confidential now.”
Trilateral meeting between Zarif, Kerry and Ashton will take place to discuss the proposed text following Ashton’s meeting with Kerry and French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius.
Nobody can make a final judgment about the talks before holding the trilateral meeting, he said.
Asked about Iran’s agreement on five percent enrichment, Takht-Ravanchi said that the issues of sanctions and enrichment are currently under discussion but he declined to explain more.
