Parliament, new government hold joint meeting

 IRNA – A number of Iranian MPs including Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani minutes ago held a meeting with the new government at the presidential compound.
This is the first joint meeting between the parliament and the new government, during which President Hassan Rohani is to give the lawmakers a report on the developments in Tehran-Washington rapprochement.

Ways to further promote interaction between the government and the parliament and the country’s current problems will also be discussed during the meeting.

Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani, Deputy Speaker Mohammad-Reza Bahonar, head of Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi and head of Parliament’s Planning and Budget Commission Gholam-Reza Mesbahi-Moqaddam will deliver speeches in the meeting.
