(MNA) – Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency have agreed to develop a modality for further cooperation, the Mehr News Agency has learnt.

The responsibilities and commitments of each side will be determined by the modality and the measures necessary will be taken based on the agreement.

Iran and the UN nuclear watchdog met in Vienna on May 14 and 15 to discuss Iran’s nuclear issue and agreed to continue talks in the same city on May 21.

After the second day of talks on Tuesday, the Iranian ambassador to the agency, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, and the IAEA deputy director general and head of the Department of Safeguards, Herman Nackaerts, told reporters that the two sides will meet again in Vienna on May 21 for more talks, AP reported.

Nackaerts said, “We had a good exchange of views,” according to Bloomberg.

According to Bloomberg’s report, Soltanieh stated, “We had fruitful discussions in a very conducive environment.”

“We have had progress,” the Iranian ambassador stated.
