Iran, Russia discuss Caspian Sea legal regime
(MNA) – In a meeting in Tehran on Tuesday Igor Bratchikov, the head of a visiting delegation of Russian officials in charge of Caspian Sea affairs, and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Mohammad Mehdi Akhondzadeh held talks on the issue of the Caspian Sea legal regime.
Akhondzadeh called the Caspian Sea the “sea of peace and amity” and said the sea has played a significant role in consolidating ties between the two countries.
The meeting was in line with efforts to ratify a convention on the Caspian Sea legal regime.
