New Portuguese ambassador to Iran meets Salehi

(MNA) – In a meeting in Tehran on Sunday, the new Portuguese Ambassador to Iran, Mário Fernando Nunes, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and submitted a copy of his credentials to him.

During the meeting, Salehi called Tehran-Lisbon relations fraternal and said that the Islamic Republic is keen to bolster the relationship.

The Portuguese ambassador said that during his tenure he will do his best to enhance ties.
