Larijani congratulates Iranian Christians on birth anniversary of Jesus Christ

Mehr News Agency – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has extended congratulations to all Christians in Iran on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of Jesus Christ.

Larijani, in his congratulatory message to the Christians, said, “I would like to congratulate you on the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the harbinger of God’s great values, Jesus Christ.”

Elsewhere in his message, he noted, “Jesus Christ, like other prophets, is the harbinger of salvation, felicity, human dignity, brotherhood and freedom. His message is the invitation of all humans to praying God, seeking peace and friendship which promises a precious life under the aegis of religious instructions. After several centuries, human communities still need this message. The great pain of the current societies is neglecting the instructions of holy prophets.”

“Thanks to the efforts of God’s prophets, the nations are awakened and ready to challenge despotism and dictatorship to realize human’s real ideals such as justice, freedom, prosperity and security,” Larijni stated.

“I hope under the aegis of these invaluable instructions humanity can finally achieve salvation, felicity and happy life.”

He also added, “I would like to use this opportunity to honor the courageous Christian martyrs who defended the independence and dignity of the Islamic Republic. I wish success and victory for their parents, wives and children.”
