PressTV-- Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei underscores Muslim vigilance against enemy efforts to generate ethnic and religious discord, noting that the ongoing Islamic Awakening in the region is pointedly directed against arrogance and Zionism.
Addressing a Monday gathering of cultural and executive officers in charge of Iranian pilgrims to the annual Hajj pilgrimage in the capital city of Tehran, the Leader cautioned against persisting and intensifying enemy ploys to sow division among Muslim masses since they have been the main target of the recent regional uprisings as part of the Islamic Awakening wave sweeping countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

Ayatollah Khamenei, furthermore, reminded his audience on the significance and value of the major Hajj pilgrimage that takes place annually in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.

The Leader has also made important remarks concerning issues surrounding the recent major embezzlement case involving a number senior Iranian bank executives.
