Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei visited families of two assassinated Iranian scientists, Masoud Ali-Mohammadi and Majid Shahriari, and Ahmadinejad stressed Iran’s tough stance on the nuclear issue. Tomorrow is a public holiday Araba’een (lit. ‘forty’), when Shi’as mark the fortieth day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) in Karbala (forty days being the mark of the end of an official mourning period in Shia Islam), and no newspapers will be published in Tehran.
