Any measure against Iran ends enemies’ sway, says Ahmadineja
"It is clear that Zionist regime and the US impose damages to regional nations whenever they want, but they are not able to do so," he said in a press conference with Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani Sunday evening in Doha as asked about the US and Zionist regime’s threats on military strike against Iran.
"Today, Zionist regime is declining, it hopes to find an opportunity to last its life through vain talks, but it is no longer able to take any measure in Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon," Ahmadinejad said.
He reiterated that Zionist regime is not able to take any action against Iranian nation, "they are aware that any move against Iran means annihilation of the regime from the face of the world.
" Iranian President added, "who believes that an army (the US army) who faced a deadlock in an unreal war and is leaving Iraq could enter into a new war, off course there are some wise politicians in the US understanding the issue, so the issue of attack against Iran seeks psychological war and creating discord in the region.
" Ahmadinejad then turned to Qatari Emir initiative over Yemen and said, "Yemen is now fully secure through efforts of Qatar’s Emir and we hope all Yemenis join hands to fix their problems.
" Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani on his part said, "we hope regional issues will be settled through agreements made between Iran and Qatar." The two sides also stressed expansion of cooperation in different fields.
First Iran-Africa panel discussion to open in Tehran soon
(IRNA) – The first Iran-Africa panel discussion is to be held in Tehran on September 14-15, it was announced here on Monday Talking to IRNA, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast added that the move is to help boost the existing relations between the Islamic Republic and the African states.
The two sides have prepared plans and programs to make use of great potentials existing in both Iran and Africa in line with expansion of all-out bilateral cooperation, he reiterated.
Ministers of foreign affairs, industries and mines and health of several African countries as well as representatives from their active economic and investment companies will attend the gathering along with journalists and press officials from the continent.
The gathering will pave the way for presence of Iranian companies in various projects in the African
states and will also prepare the ground for presence of African companies in the Islamic Republic, Mehman-Parast noted
Uganda favors transfer of construction technology from Iran
(IRNA) -- The Ugandan Ambassador to Iran called for transfer of Iran’s modern construction technology to his country Given its diverse climate, Uganda has excellent capacities for implementation of industrial, agricultural, mineral and construction projects, Muhammad Ahmed Kisule said Sunday in a session of Khorasan Razavi province’s Construction Engineering Disciplinary Organization.
Stating that 80 percent of the country’s lands are fertile and it boasts of copper and gold mines, he noted that Iranian investors can invest in different sectors in the country. He also voiced his country’s readiness for issuing visas to Iranian engineers.
Uganda is also prepared to sign an agreement for exchange of experts and implementation of joint construction projects, he said. Head of Khorasan Razavi province Construction Engineering Disciplinary Organization Mohammad Reza Akhavan-Abdollahian, for his part, described Iran’s friendship with Uganda and other African nations as ancient and long-standing.
He further noted that his organization has taken effective steps towards the reinforcement of buildings and optimal use of energy. Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa.
Uganda takes its name from the Buganda kingdom, which encompassed a portion of the south of the country including the capital Kampala. The official languages are English and Swahili, although multiple other languages are spoken in the country

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said the US is trying to wage a psychological war in the Middle East, noting that strengthening ties with Qatar can boost regional stability and ward off such threats.
"Widening the scope of cooperation between Iran and Qatar, with the two countries’ officials remaining alert, can establish lasting security in the region and reduce threats from outside," President Ahmadinejad said during a meeting with senior officials in Doha on Sunday.
Qatari Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani welcomed the call, stressing that more bilateral ties would benefit both countries.
Ahmadinejad added any military action against the Islamic Republic will lead to the collapse of the US hegemony in the entire world.
He stressed that any military action against Iran will also lead to the elimination of Israel from world "geo-politics."
The president went on to note that certain powers are seeking to launch fresh wars in the Middle East but stressed no power is capable of attacking Iran since the Iranian military can effectively counter any attack.
The two officials agreed that the security of the Persian Gulf region will be maintained through all-out economic, cultural, and defense cooperation.
Earlier in February, Iran and Qatar had signed a defense deal during Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi’s visit to Doha.
Meanwhile, Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Ali Abdollahi, who is accompanying the president on the trip, told IRNA that both sides have agreed on the implementation of a recent memorandum of understanding (MOU) on regional security.
Abdollahi made the remarks in a meeting with Qatari Minister of State for Internal Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani on Sunday.
The MOU envisages cooperation on facilitating visa procedures for Iranian businesspersons and taking strict measures to combat narcotic trafficking on the borders.
