IRGC fully prepared to defend Iran's security
Latest surveys have indicated that forces, systems and equipment of the naval units of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) are at the desired level of readiness to protect territorial waters as well as national interests and security, said the commander of the IRGC Navy.
Rear Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri made the remarks during a visit to islands of the Greater and Lesser Tunbs in the Persian Gulf on Friday, Mehr News Agency (MNA) reported.
Reviewing the combat readiness of the units stationed on the islands, Admiral Tangsiri stressed the need to maintain their capabilities, vigilance and full intelligence over their sensitive mission area.
He said that the goal of his visit to the strategic islands was to assess “status of the combat readiness capabilities" of the IRGC’s naval units.
