Iran's Defence minister to meet Russian counterpart in Moscow

Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami is scheduled to meet his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu and attend a military exhibition during a visit to Moscow.

Iran’s Defense Ministry’s official website said that Hatami will review issues of mutual interests of the two countries with Shoigu who has invited him for the official visit.

Hatami’s visit to Moscow is aimed at further expanding defense ties between the two countries in regional and international areas, the ministry’s website said.

The Iranian defense minister will also attend Russia’s 6th International Military-Technical Forum, “Army-2020”.

The exhibition has been held regularly since 2015 to showcase Russian latest achievements in defense and military areas.

Defense and military experts and officials from many countries visit the exhibition every year.
