Ayatollah Khamenei’s visit to Qom was the most important topic for Tehran’s dailies today—so important in fact, particularly for conservative newspapers, that the fonts used and pictures of the Qom visit completely dwarfed other headlines. In his speech, the Iranian Supreme Leader stated that last year’s presidential election proved the loyalty of the nation to the Nezam, and the ensuing Fetneh vaccinated the country against political and social ‘microbes’. He also called for the elite and ordinary citizens to take national unity seriously.
