Number of Foreign Ships Visiting Iranian Ports Rising
(FNA)- Managing-Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) Mohammad Hossein Dajmar announced on Tuesday that international shipping lines have widened their interaction with Iran after Tehran and the six world powers signed the agreement in Vienna on July 14.
"The number of foreign shipping lines that berth at Iranian ports increased last week," Dajmar told FNA on Tuesday, adding that the number of foreign ships also showed a rise last week.
Dajmar also said that the IRISL is planning to launch shipping lines for Europe, Canada and Australia.
A large number of European insurance companies have shown their willingness to cooperate with their Iranian counterparts after Tehran and the six world countries struck an agreement in Vienna on July 14.
On July 14, Iran and the G5+1 struck a nuclear agreement based on which Iran and the six world powers agreed that all economic and financial sanctions against Iran, including all bans on Iran's Central Bank, shipping, and oil industries, will be removed through a UN Security Council resolution.
