Iran Using "All Means" to Support Palestinians

(FNA)- Iranian Parliament Speaker’s top advisor for international affairs Hossein Sheikholeslam underlined that Iran will make use of all its capacities and possibilities to support the Palestinian nation against the Israeli aggressions.

"The Iranian nation uses all available means to support the Palestinians against the Zionist regime," Sheikholeslam told reporters on the sidelines of a rally staged in front of the UN office in Tehran to protest Israel's massacre of the Palestinians.

Sheikholeslam voiced regret over the silence of the international bodies, including the UN, on the Israeli attacks on the Palestinians in Gaza.

He pointed to the peaceful rally in front of the UN Headquarters in Tehran, and said, "The people who have gathered here now are from organizations and NGOs supporting the liberation of the Holy Al-Quds."

Sheikholeslam described the Israeli attacks on the Palestinians as horrifying, and said, "The UN has announced that over 70 percent of the victims are women, children and civilians."

Israel has been pounding the blockaded Gaza for 8 consecutive days, killing at least 190 people and injuring more than 1,280 others.

According to the UN, 77% of the victims in Gaza are civilian and defenseless people.
