Iran wins legal case against US in Arbitration Tribunal
Tehran, July 11, IRNA – Iran won a legal case against the United States in the Hague Arbitration Tribunal after 30 years.
At issue in the case was the United Statesˈ obligations under the Algiers Declaration to terminate litigations initiated by United States nationals against the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United States courts.
According to a report from the Legal Department of Presidential Office, the judges in the Hague Arbitration Tribunal found the US guilty for breaking its obligations under Algiers Declaration.
The Declaration was signed by the governments of Iran, US and Algeria on 19 January 1981.
