IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham said on Thursday that the recent anti-Iran stand adopted by the Canadian foreign minister is in line with the Zionist regimeˈs Iranophobia scheme.
Refuting the allegations, she said the current Canadian government is now regarded as an extremist one whose worthless stands lack any political logic.

The Canadian government which has repeatedly violated the rights of its indigenous population lacks any legitimacy to comment on such issues, she said.

Increasing critical, extremist and irrational stands of the Canadian government indicate that its policies even inside the country are not acceptable, she said.

The Canadian government should change its approach and choose diplomatic norms in line with the international community, Afkham said, advising the Canadian government to adopt fair and moderate stands through collective contribution of its people.
