Israel foresees a nuclear agreement between Iran and the six major powers, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz quoted a senior Israeli official as saying on Sunday.

According to the Israeli official, a permanent agreement on Iran's nuclear program is likely to be reached soon. Based on these expectations, U.S. National Security Advisor Susan Rice will head to Tel Aviv on Thursday for talks with the Israelis on the issue and to brief the Israeli government on the nature of communications between the West and Iran.

Rice's visit to Tel Aviv will come a few days before the resumption of the final round of negotiations between Iran and the West, scheduled to start on May 13 and to last for four days.

In the same context, Haaretz revealed that the Israeli national security advisor recently visited Beijing to discuss the Iranian issue with the Chinese government.
