Iran Condemns Killing of Al-Manar TV Staff Members in Syria
(FNA)- Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham on Tuesday strongly condemned the criminal act committed by Takfiri terrorists against the staff members of the Lebanese satellite television Al-Manar.
On Monday, militant groups opened fire onto Al-Manar crew in the town of Maaloula in Qalamoun in Southern Syria, leaving three dead.
"This action once again showed the serious dangers posed by the heinous phenomena of violence and extremism," Afkham told reporters on Tuesday.
The crew was broadcasting the Syrian army's operations in Maaloula when the terrorists targeted their Press vehicles.
In a similar move yesterday, the Iranian Embassy in Beirut in a statement also condemned the criminal act.
In the statement, the embassy said that "the horrible crime of the Takfiri terrorists is a service to the Zionist enemy and aimed to silence voice of truth".
Iranians Ambassador to Beirut Qazanfar Roknabadi also on Monday condemned the crime in an interview with al-Manar Network.
