MKO is an accomplice in assassination of nuclear experts: Iran

 (MNA) – An Iranian Foreign Ministry official says the Mojahadin Khalq Organization is an accomplice in the assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientists.

Ramin Mehmanparast, the Foreign Ministry spokesman, said the MKO has never renounced “terrorist activities” and it has only changed its approach.

The remarks by Mehmanparast came as the U.S. State Department formally removed the MKO from its list of terrorist organizations on Friday.

“Their last terrorist moves, which they were involved, was the assassination of our nuclear scientists with the cooperation of the Zionist regime’s security agents,” Mehmanparast told the Al-Alam news network in a program aired on Sunday night.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Saturday stating that the delisting of the MKO was “a violation of America’s legal and international obligations” that could threaten U.S. interests.

The decision “will bring U.S. responsibility for past, present and future terrorist operations by this group,” the statement also said.
