Senior NAM Experts to Meet in Tehran Tomorrow

(FNA)- Senior experts from the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states are slated to kick off a two-day meeting in Tehran on Sunday.

The meeting will be inaugurated by an opening speech of the Iranian Foreign Minister, Ali Akbar Salehi.

The NAM experts meeting will start tomorrow morning at the International Conference Hall of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and last for two days.

The experts meeting will be followed by a foreign ministerial meeting of the NAM member states which will also last for two days.

And the last, but not the least, the heads of the NAM member states will meet for two days to discuss the most crucial issues on the international scene.

NAM is an international organization of states considering themselves not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc. NAM is the largest grouping of countries outside of the United Nations.

NAM member states represent nearly two-thirds of the United Nations' members and comprise 55% of the world population, particularly countries considered to be developing or part of the Third World.

Tehran will host 16th round of NAM Summit in August 26-31 and will receive NAM presidency from Egypt for next three years.
