1000 MKO members seek Iran’s pardon: TV
TEHRAN, May 5 (MNA) - Nearly 1000 members of the Mojahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) have sought Iran’s pardon to return home, Press TV reported on its website.
The request comes as the fifth group of MKO – 416 members - were transferred to the Camp Liberty near the Baghdad International Airport on Friday.
MKO fled Iran and sided with Saddam Hussein’s regime in the war against Iran in the 1980s. Saddam also used the group against popular uprisings by Iraqi Shias and Kurds in the late 1980s.
