‘China, Russia hope IAEA will remain impartial on Iran’
MEHR NEWS - China said on Friday it will continue to maintain close communication with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and adhere to resolving the Iranian nuclear issue through diplomatic negotiations.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said Beijing has always supported the work of the IAEA and has kept regular communication with IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano.
"China and Russia recently presented their shared views about the Iranian nuclear issue to the IAEA chief," Xinhua quoted Jiang as saying. "Both countries hope the IAEA will remain independent and professional with an objective and impartial attitude, and cautiously resolve the issue based on facts."
The IAEA will hold a meeting in November, and the director-general is preparing to present a report on the Iranian nuclear issue.
