National Day of Nuclear Technology, the Front-Page News of Tehran Newspapers/9th of April 2008
Today, all morning newspapers of Tehran focused on the nuclear news announced by President Ahmadinejhad and most of them chose installation of 6000 centrifuges in Natanz nuclear site as their top headline.
 
Also news about Hossein Musavian, former nuclear negotiator of Iran, and release of courts verdict came into the spotlight by morning newspapers. Judiciary has sentenced Musavian to 2 years of suspended imprisonment (suspended) and barred him from taking diplomatic posts for five years.
 
Condemnation of raids launched by American forces to Sadr City of Baghdad by Spokesman of Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Albright's advice to the next U.S. president to forget military option against Iran, and a new round of 5+1 negotiations in China were the common topic of morning newspapers.
 
In an exclusive interview with Iraq's ambassador, Jomhuri-e-Eslami discussed issues such as territorial differences between Iran and Iraq, military bases of U.S. in the region and support of terrorists by some Arab countries.
 
Also in another column under the headline "Husni Mubarak's regime attempting to intimidate iran", Jomhuri-e-Eslami cited statements of an Egyptian minister who has supported baseless claims of U.A.E. on the three Persian Gulf islands that belong to Iran (Abu Musa, Greater Tunb and Lesser Tunb) and claimed that Iran-Arab talks are acceptable only when Iran stops its intervention in Arab affairs.
 
In its front-page, Jomhuri-e-Eslami has quoted from Guardian about the agreement between the governments of Iraq and United States for unlimited presence in this Middle Eastern country.
 
Keyhan Newspaper has also reported about the meeting between Sa'id Jalili, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, with Ebrahim Ja'fari, spokesman of the al-Da'wa Party of Iraq. Jalili has stressed that Iraq's security is Iran's security and his country will do its best to bring security for Iraq.
 
In its "Report of the Day", Keyhan has published "Iran's nuclear truthfulness proved" and called for return of Iran's nuclear dossier to IAEA, since it's the best move UN Security Council can make.
 
"Lessons taught from the nuclear issue", an article authored by Mohammad Ali Mohtadi in Jaam-e-Jam newspaper notes the significant achievements of Iran in its nuclear course and stresses that a policy of compromise with West is to no avail.
 
Another report by Jaam-e-Jam has it that Switzerland has rejected Israel's demand to stop signing a gas contract with Iran. The newspaper has also quoted from Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Spokesman about Canadian Parliamentary Delegation's wish to visit Iran.
 
As reported by Jaam-e-Jam, the White House is misusing of Iran's blocked properties and Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran's last monarch Mohammad Reza Pahlavi plays a role in this case.
 
Hamshahri newspaper has noted Ali Larijani's opinions one its second page. According to Larijani the determining factors that led to attainment of peaceful nuclear technology by Iran were fostering elite, self-belief and provision.
 
In another section, Hamshahri has reported about the view over Iran's new nuclear achievement in Western political and media circles and their negative reaction towards installation of 6000 new centrifuges by Iran in Natanz nuclear site.
 
In the Opinion column, Hamshahri has printed an article by Ala-e-Din Borujerdi, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament. In "Consolidation of Strength" Ala-e-Din Borujerdi has commented that West's feigned ignorance towards Iran's nuclear achievements will not change anything and it is better for United States and Western Countries to accept the nuclear reality.
 
Resalat newspaper has quoted Deputy Higher Education Minister in Technology that through close interaction between the ministry and Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and according to the bill passed by the Parliament, reaching to the level of producing 20 Megawatts of nuclear energy must be realized.
 
In the political column of this newspaper Hanif Ghaffari has published an article, "Souvenir of Natanz". According to Ghaffari the 6000 centrifuges installed in the nuclear site of the city are its souvenirs, belonging to all Iranians.
 
E'temad-e-Melli, affiliated with E'temad-e-Melli Party led by former Parliament Spokesman Mehdi Karrobi, has done an interview with Akbar E'temadi, nuclear pioneer of Iran. 

Akbar E'temadi himself has also written an article titled "Iran's Atomic Energy Program, Struggles and Strifes" in which he reminds of the reasons the world moved towards a new energy policy which led Iran towards nuclear energy production. He has also given an account of the early days of nuclear energy production in Iran.
