US, the major loser in regional developments, says Iran

"Distress, contradiction and deception are fully clear in recent remarks of Obama," Jalili on Friday said referring to comments of the US President Barack Obama on Thursday night.

"Islamic awakening has created a deadlock for the US. The US is the major loser in regional developments and it is locked in the quagmire of supporting Zionist regime and dictatorial systems including Mubarak and bin Ali for years and it cannot get rid of the situation through contradiction and deception," Jalili noted.

Iranian Supreme National Security Council Secretary continued, "the US has chosen to resort to the policy of deception and deviation since it has faced true demands of regional nations."

He reiterated that, "the US should know that all lands of Palestine belong to Palestinians. This is the public demand of regional nation."

Jalili also criticized the US President's support for Zionist regime.

Obama in his 45-minute speech on Thursday claimed Palestinian-Zionist regime's borders should be defined based on 1967 borders and that recognizing the borders is necessary for formation of the two states. He also reiterated Palestinians should have the right to run their own country.
