Gholamhossein Shafe’i, the chairman of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA), has written a letter to his counterparts  all over the world requesting them to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza who are in extreme need of help.

Following is the text of the letter:

As you are well aware, the world today is witnessing an atrocious human crisis in Gaza, where the Zionist regime has launched a brutal, inhumane and murderous bombing campaign on the defenseless population of Gaza, martyring over 1,800 Palestinians including children, old people, and women, and wounding over 10,000 others, turning Gaza into a scene of disastrous genocide and massacre in our time.

The Zionist regime has also destroyed crucial water, sewage and electricity infrastructures and demolished a countless families' homes.

The situation is being further exacerbated by lack of humanitarian aid and medical supplies in Gaza due to the blockade of the coastal strip and this has sustained losses on 1.5 million Palestinian residents.

Now it is upon us as humans to stand in solidarity with the Palestinians and lend helping hands to heal the innocent Palestinians' wounds wherever possible.

While condemning the criminal savagery of the Zionist regime, the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ICCIMA) would like to call on all chambers of commerce across the world to not only condemn the siege of Gaza and the horrendous crimes there, but also adopt due measures to delegitimize the racist apartheid ideology practiced in Gaza.

Meanwhile, as the president of ICCIMA, I would also like to seize the opportunity to request my fellow colleagues to render any possible humanitarian assistance to the Palestinians in urgent need of shelter, medication, etc. to survive and help them financially.
