Senior MP: Palestinian nation can defend itself

IRNA – A senior Iranian lawmaker underlined that the Palestinians can defend themselves in the best possible way.

ˈThe best people who can defend the Palestinian people are the Palestinian people themselves,ˈ member of Majlis (Iranian parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Esmayeel Kowsari said.

Kowsari pointed to the recent remarks by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei who said that Palestinians today need foodstuff, weapons and equipment, and said, ˈSufficient Military hardware and equipment should be given to Palestinians in order to enable them form a united and resistant front against the occupying regime of Al-Quds and their supporters.

ˈArming the Palestinians is today a strategy and macro policy-making that has been specified by Supreme Leader because this policy plays and effective role in preventing genocide of Palestinians by the Zionists,ˈ he added.
